I was very excited to try out this restaurant for my friend’s birthday – she said it was very posh. While looking at their website, I soon discovered that both chefs have worked in Australia, which means they would know about gluten!
I emailed a week in advance just to make sure that I would be able to order something from their menu and they were very reassuring. All of the appetizers my friend ordered were prepared with gluten free soy sauce, which was such a relief!
The meal was amazing and Bee, the head chef, came out to discuss the menu. There were quite a few things that could be prepared gluten free, she told me, and so I chose the Steamed wild seabass fillet with white turmeric , fennel & lemongrass ‘lon’ sauce (below).
Paste can be found down Sukhumvit soi 49 across from Samitivej Hospital. They are open for lunch Wednesday to Sunday from 12-2:30pm and for dinner Tuesday to Sunday evenings.
Paste has recently opened up another restaurant in the Gaysorn Plaza (Chitlom) and it follows the same principles of “Artisanal Thai Cuisine.”
