Na Aroon – Sukhumvit Soi 1

I read about this veggie-friendly restaurant in the Expat Ladies magazine and was impressed with their organic and health-conscious mantra.

Recently I contacted them about their menu, and this was the response:

“We have several customers who need gluten free food and our chef is
very aware of the dangers of cross-contamination. Most of the dishes on
the menu can be made gluten free and if there’s something else you’d
like, we’ll be more than happy to have a go at making it for you.”

A group of friends went with me here for my birthday. The owner is British and was very accommodating for vegan/gluten free me and my non-soy loving friends!

I ordered som tam and the spicy mushroom salad to start. Then I had the 3 Eggplant green curry and it was yummy. I finished my birthday celebrations with some homemade sorbets.

I would definitely go back as the setting is quiet, jungle-esque and quite simply lovely! My friends enjoyed the particularly English desserts, including banoffee pie, chocolate torte and bread and butter pudding.
